Tao Kae Noi (Crispy Seaweed)- Tom Yum Goong Flavour 

Seaweed, that's what it is. Flavored seaweed. Not bad though. Has a better texture than cooked/wet seaweed that's for sure. Healthier than most other chips and snacks with a lower carb setting. I will definitely get this again. After a while it has a very slight kick; not a hot/spicy kick but definitely flavored kick.

It's not bad. Definitely expected it to be a little more bitter. It's more of a dark chocolate flavor than anything. Will get this one from time to time! Japan does make quality stuff though. Will be exploring the other flavors Japanese Kit Kats have to offer.

When I opened the bad it tasted a lot like a peach. Tasted ok for a peach flavored gummy. I would get it again, but not often. It's sweet enough to satisfy tastebuds who are craving sweets. For 6 pieces 90 calories aren't the worst thing, but the carbs are a little much.

Toblerone Crunchy Salted Almond

Toblerones are not bad at all. Definitely rich in milk chocolate. Thick pieces as well. I could actually taste the almond more than the salt in the almond. This bar has a ratio of 60% milk chocolate 40% almond taste. So it's somewhat even in my opinion. I would recommend Toblerones. And plus Swiss chocolate is better than American for sure.

Food Review: Sweet Smiles Select Dark Chocolate Pistachio Bar

It's more of a larger fancy Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate bar. I think there should be more pistachio flavor/taste; because I cannot seem to taste the pistachio. The Dark Chocolate overcrowds the little pistachio taste there is/was. It's not bad, but for a buck and 25 /50 cents per packet I'd expect a little bit more from this brand. Now the third piece had a little more pistachio; but not much more. Maybe the center of the bar would contain the pistachios. Overall it was a disappointment on the nut end. It's not bad; but I expected more. But what can you say for 1.50 candy bar? It's larger than a typical Hershey's bar for a similar price.

These little cookie-like waffles are best enjoyed from the Netherlands and Belgium. At the first bite, I knew it was a little bit thicker than a normal cookie or waffle. With the caramel in between the layers of the dough. To me I enjoy them. I'm open to eat foreign cuisine; and I'm honestly glad the US imported these sweets. The Dutch are notorious for the sweets and cheeses. Being 8 percent Dutch and German though, it seems when I take a bite, I envision myself in Europe eating freshly made stroop wafels. Stroop meaning molasses in Dutch, and of course wafels meaning waffles it's no wonder people love them so much.

Not bad at all. It's definitely like Starbucks frappuccinos with more of an energy edge. 200 calories is not bad for a tall 15 fluid ounce can of this drink. Though I'd be concerned with the sugar content if I am being honest. But energy drinks, like soda will have a higher concentration of sugar. Tastes like mocha at the first taste. I like it, will definitely get it again for sure. Maybe I will try the other flavors they have out to see which ones I like more. So far Mocha's the best out of them. Compared to Red Bull and 5 Hour Energy, this has a better taste from experience.

Food Review: Bai Antioxidant Ipanema Pomegranate

This indeed tastes like Pomegranate. Bai variety just keeps getting better. The consistency of this brand is good. The overall taste is good, I think this brand will keep on making new flavors where the juices and teas will eventually replace sugary juices, sodas, and sugary teas. Yes there's sugar, but not as much sugar in soda (around 30-50 grams of sugar in one bottle of soda/non diet variety) Bai has about 2 grams of sugar, where it's not complete sugar water but yet there's enough sugar for some flavorful taste. With the Ipanema Pomegranate it's a really good flavor to it. Definitely quenches my thirst.

Food Review: Bubly Sparkling Water, Strawberry

Yay, it smells like Strawberry. Tastes like seltzer with a hint of strawberry. If you are trying to get away from junk sodas and such; flavored seltzer water is good. It may or may not be in peoples tastes but for me it's much better than drinking Mountain Dew if I want a fizzy drink. Well I wanted to try this brand because I saw it in a carton on Jet.com. And the advice my aunt gave me: if you are unsure of how it's going to taste, either get a small pack or individual servings. So that way you don't waste 20 or 25 bucks on a pack of 12, 24 when you don't even like the item.

New Discovered Albums (January and February 2019)

deadmau5 - mau5ville: Level 1 (2018) 8.5/10

EDM at its finest. One of a group of artists I enjoy in this cluster of a genre. Monophobia has a few remixes on this album. A short eight track album; it provides the punch I need to get energized/pumped to do stuff. Or even dance along to the music. All is Lost has this natural aesthetic to it, that I feel it has good vibes, vocal delivery is a bit slow, but the instrumental makes up for the slower vocals. Which blends in. Something Like: this is an interesting song. The instrumental could get annoying after a while. But most EDM tracks have some annoying loop or any loop that gets stuck in people's heads to make them remember the song. Overall this is a decent album.

Nightwish - Showtime, Storytime (2013) 9.5/10

Another live album from this Finnish band. Covers the hits such as: Nemo, Ever Dream, Amaranth, and Ghost Love Score. This live album is more of a crowd pleaser than the previous live album(s) in my opinion. With this album being Floor Jansen's first album with the band, this is a solid effort on her end. I think Floor can cover Tarja and Annette's songs well. Overall one of my favorite live albums there is. And one of the best for Nightwish's discography. How the band interacts with the audience in between some of the tracks is wonderful as well. Overall I'd give it a good 9.5 rating.

Indigo la End -夜に魔法をかけられて (Yoru ni Mahō o Kakerarete) (2013) 8/10

Some J-Rock for you. I was browsing suggestions to find this album. The vocals in sweet spider isn't the greatest in my opinion. But I'm sure the vocals will grow on me as time goes on.  sweet spider has this indie vibe; she has this more of a down tempo compared to the first track. Vocal delivery is slightly slower. Based on the first two tracks, this album would have an indie rock vibe, that the album could be played in a coffee shop or department store. Not that there's anything wrong with that in all fairness. 大停電の夜に is a little bit more fast paced compared to she. But the vocals aren't that great if I'm being honest. The attempt at fast spoken talking or rapping or whatever you call that delivery was bad. But the vocals get better after the segment.鞠の空想 is a brief minute and a half of spoken word delivery. Overall if you like the chill aesthetics, and J-rock then this album is for you!

When you first open the can, it definitely smells like lime. So that's the plus right there. Now onto the taste. I assume this is seltzer water so it's a hit or miss with me. Dasani's seltzer water wasn't too good; but I wasn't accustomed to the taste at the time of drinking it. Tasting it, it's definitely seltzer. But the hint of lime that doesn't overpower the taste makes this brand (well at least this flavor) doable. I will get at least this flavor again by the carton because it is a better alternative to soda; if you want the carbonation, but not all that junk sugar and carbs. Then Bubly is for you (if you can withstand the taste of seltzer water)

Food Review: Homemade Mushroom Fettuccini Alfredo

I picked up some ingredients to try a new type of pasta: mushroom alfredo. I wanted to try something different, using vegetable fettuccini noodles, Bertolli Creamy Basil Alfredo sauce (and for my bowl of pasta): Mushrooms. I got the water for the noodles started because that takes a while to heat up and boil.  As soon as that got started I warmed up the alfredo sauce, and fried up the mushrooms using butter (you can use oil if you want to, we just didn't have oil on stock this time). Drain the noodles once you cook them (3-5 minutes for fettuccini noodles.) stir in the sauce. and what do you know, some good alfredo.

Ingredients:

1 Small Container of mushrooms (optional)

1 packet of Veggie Fettuccini noodles (makes two large servings, with the bag of noodles i got, Pasta Valente brand)

1 jar Bertolli Creamy Basil Alfredo (more if you're feeding a larger group)

FanFic1(Peter)

Peter and I have gone a while with rawing, that I suspect that I'm pregnant. Well, Peter and I want a child of our own. We were low-key trying to conceive. As I haven't felt that great, I went to the store with him and he picked up cold essentials, while I look for pregnancy tests. I try to hide them I would be buying them separately.
So we get home, Peter makes me some soup, he's such a caring husband. Yes husband, we had a courthouse marriage. I go upstairs to our bathroom to take the tests. Test 1: positive. Test 2: positive. Test 3: positive. It's official I'm pregnant. Now to tell my man. I go downstairs carefully not to make noise so he doesn't hear me. I sneak up on Pete.

That's what we're naming him. So I sit down to knit; yes knit a baby blanket and booties, and a hat. We ultimately decided on a gender reveal; but not those extra ass parties people throw. we're just gonna take an updated pic of Oliver, and announce in blue and green "IT"S A BOY". We're obviously announcing to close friends and family first. then everyone else later. My sister was elated that she was going to have a nephew of her own to spoil him in every way. She offered to plan and host my baby shower. That's how excited she is.
The days have gone by, and Pete and I were awaiting the arrival of our handsome little peanut, Oliver. Peter has sang to the little guy, and I was doing everything right. So baby shower is tomorrow. Everything is set up. No stress. I do feel slight contractions though. Nothing to worry about. Everyone showed up to our shower. I'm all happy, as Peter is holding me. Holding my bump. We're finally sitting down after greeting our guests. So the gift giving commences. First gift was from my aunt and cousin. A bunch of pacifiers and bottles. "Baby I think your water broke." I look down and I told him to get me to the hospital now. I then told him about the contractions I was having. So he got me and the carseat into the car. Everyone was in shock that I was going into labor. Peter told everyone he'd call them once little Oliver is born, because I'd prefer only me, Peter, and the doctors in the room while giving birth anyways.
So doctors then examined me once I got to the hospital. They said " you're about 7 inches dilated; I think in about 2 hours you should be good to go to push." So I am in BAD labor pains but I stick it out. Two hours rolls by, and they let me know that it was time. Peter held my hand while I started to push. It was the worst pain I was in. That and I have a fear that I was going to crap myself giving birth. "Push, Push. You're doing good." I started to wail in agony. 20 min later, Oliver's head started to show. Soon enough I push my little (not so little) 8 and half pound baby boy out. He started to cry. Doctors let Peter cut the cord. I felt that was the most intimate thing he has done. The doctors clean me up (I did crap myself a little haha) but they also cleaned up Oliver. Peter and I cried: "Welcome to the world little Oliver."

Weird Music That I Have Came Across

There's been some bargain bin artists on Discogs and other means that I have found that were quite interesting to say the least. Majority of their album covers are hideous, which I find the appeal of. I mean at least half of the ugly album art albums are pretty bad which makes them bargain bin items at a thrift store or indie record store. A lot can be found on Youtube, Bandcamp or Spotify at the very least. Some would take some digging before finding certain tracks.

Orion

Where to start with Orion. He does sound like Elvis, which I dig totally. There were quite of few albums that Orion had that was spectacular. Like the album art is terrible, the music I would say is so-so/hit or miss. If you like Elvis, you're probably going to like Orion, the generic version of Elvis. If I put Orion on a playlist with Elvis and the likes, and let my older family members listen to it, I'll bet you 5 dollars that they wouldn't know the difference. I enjoy Orion. After his music career, Orion and his wife owned a pawn shop that got robbed and they were both shot to death unfortunately.

Swamp Dogg

He's a weird one. He has released new music where it's pretty weird on the first listen. It's highly autotuned, which he doesn't need. With Swamp Dogg it's easy to make fun of his work, which isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination. But it's not the best music out there. He falls into a category of bland or has to be in the mood for Swamp Dogg kind of musician. That's just my hot take. His album art though has been laughable for a few decades now. He's definitely a bargain bin artist, but not as horrible as most bargain bin artists.

Kool Keith

I came across one wacky album from this underrated hip-hop legend. His lyrics are metaphors for sex or sexual activity. Or low-key diss tracks. It's one of those rappers that are super obscure due to the fact that others have more of an advantage in mainstream media. He started in the 1990s, a hot bed for modern hip-hop, rap, and R&B. Also another bargain bin type of artist, that could have potential; but was overshadowed by legends of Hip-Hop in the mid to late 1990s. Kool Keith is a niche, his album art seem like photoshop done wrong like most of hip hop artists albums in the 1990s had. Or just the ones who were just starting out.
