Life Hack 1: Computer Screen Cleaner.

I am starting to use some useful life hacks from stuff that I already have in the house. Special formula for computer/tv screens can be pricy. So why not create something on your own. I found this hack from Google so it's not 100 percent my idea, but depending on how hard you use your computer you may have to clean your screen, and laptop base every few days.

  • Just a drop or two of vinegar (has to be white vinegar, the type that's good for cleaning)
  • A small jar, like a mason jar but the tiny variety (this is what I'm using to hold the formula) or spray bottle.
  • Water.

It's important to know that you put the water in first to measure how much you're going to need with vinegar. The larger the container; the more parts water, more parts vinegar. for the tiny mason jar I use is approximately 2/3 -3/4 water and then maybe a tablespoon of vinegar. Obviously the larger the container the more water and vinegar you'll need.

It's important to know if your storage room is a bit warm, to change the water/vinegar solution every few weeks because mold can form (from experience).

Using a gentle cleaning rag, lightly dip into the jar or spray onto the rag, and lightly go up and down on your screen; to go along the grain. Essentially to avoid smear marks.

You may be able to mix certain scents/essential oils to the mixture if you want to dodge a strong vinegar scent; which to me doesn't smell too bad upon cleaning the laptop.

Note: this is also good for dusting small areas/harder to reach/areas that shouldn't be used with dust spray; as an alternative to dust spray.

New Discovered Albums (December)

Peanut Butter Disco - Pug Pug Pug (2007) 7.5/10
Since there's only 6 tracks on this EP, it would be one of my shorter albums I have reviewed thus far. Starting with Glorious. This track has a bit going on with it, which could confuse listeners. Technopluck! is their most famous claim to fame, being featured on indiefeed.com at it's podcast prime. Technopluck! was listenable on the first listen right away compared to Glorious. Overall it's a good indie dance pop album considering the time period this was released. I think it's a shame that I haven't heard much from this group since indiefeed.com days back in the 9th and 10th grades.
Austra - Feel it Break (2011) 8.5/10
At first glance I thought this was going to be a heavy rock album based on the album cover. Surprisingly it's indie. Sort of Lana Del Rey or older Florence and the Machine albums.  Darken Her Horse has this darker electronic vibe with Del Rey's sound alike vocals. Something I can personally get into from to time. Feel it Break is a longer than a typical LP with 20 tracks on the deluxe version. The Future has this repetitive piano riff, that goes with the electronic drum beat somehow. The vocals on point once again. Overall I picked this album for the aesthetic; and I got aesthetic.
Lil B- Goldhouse (2011) 8/10
Lil B - Goldhouse (2011) 8/10
Oh My GOD, Based God! Despite the language, the album has a decent flow; especially Green Card. I feel that Lil B is one of the better modern day rappers despite his meme factor. I'd rather listen to an hour of Lil B the Based God over 10 minutes of some other mumble/ Soundcloud rap. Music aside Lil B is probably an inspiration and the most down to earth musician compared to his rap colleagues.  The sound on this album is pretty good personally.  Seventeen tracks of Based God's lyrical genius. To be fair, I am generally picky when it comes to hip-hop and rap, but Lil B; I could listen to an album in one sitting.

Food Review: Hershey's Mint Cookie Layer Crunch

*DISCLAIMER: this is just my opinion. no paid writing here.

Authentic mint. The bar is thick considering it's supposed to be chocolate layered with cookie crisps. I got it for 89 cents, so it wasn't a complete loss had I not liked it. But I like anything with chocolate and mint together. Definitely high in sugar and calories. Since my doctor said to reduce carbs as much as I can without stressing, 24 carbs is a throwaway snack if I didn't have anything much to eat prior. Definitely not every day because the calories, carbs, sugars, and fat adds up. The only reason I have the health rating so low is because of the fat and sugars versus the low protein and 200 calories for 6 mini bars in a package (not bad for milk chocolate; could be better though).

How I Feel.

I always have the mantra: Believe the victim until I am proven otherwise.

Since the 8th grade I was sexually harassed by a few cat callers, when I was 14, and in the 9th grade. These cat callers were 21+ years old. So statutory rape sort of deal if something were to happen. I've had a person in a car that came up to me asking if I had a boyfriend. I was 15. So I politely said yes to dodge a more serious scenario and went along my way. Luckily I was only like 200 feet away from my house and this happened after school if I remember correctly. Times like these aren't the only times that something happened to me. When I was 16: a boy in my class came up to me when I was at the public library harassing me into having sex with me after telling him what my research paper was about. I told him (or gave him signs) that I didn't want to have sex/wasn't interested. He kept following me around; seducing me until I gave up and said yes. It was a public restroom, where he did things I wasn't comfortable with in the first place. I remember at some point when he wanted oral sex, and I went along with it but was NOT comfortable with even having sex with him. He struck me as one of those guys that pressures women to sleep with him. So I did, and I told him to stop, and I was dodging his penis for a good reason. I wanted to STOP having sex. I remember very clearly him putting his hand behind my head, and pushed me back down there. I was so shocked that he fucking raped me (or sexually assaulted me) From that point on, whatever he did to me was definitely non-consensual. I just wanted to go home. I remember cancelling my plans with my sister because I was that upset. I was afraid if I reported him nothing would happen. And even if I had to take a restraining order out on him, the high school wouldn't have expelled him or have a good reason too; given the assault happened on a Saturday and off school grounds.
There was an instance where a family friend ogled me at the age of 16, in my homecoming dress. Then when I was about 18-19, he asked if he could see my breasts. Reluctantly I did show because he, too wouldn't have left me alone/kept harassing me about it. One day he shows up to my room and he grabs my breasts and ass without my consent/was uncomfortable. I told my aunt about that instance.
But my rape it took me about 6 years after the fact to tell my aunt what actually happened with me. For a while I kept denying that oh it was just bad sex, no big deal. But I came out to my closest friends first because they were concerned for my well-being. That's when they told me, that I was raped by my friend.

Now flash forward to seeing Trump (President Asshole) mock Ford about her assault is a new low for anyone, especially a president. When a day before he said her testimony was credible. Because of Trump's mockery, will make it even harder for victims to come out with their story. Yes be aware of there's lying involved. but do not EVER dismiss a victim until evidence comes up that the victim is not a victim. I do realize that there are rapes/sexual assaults that are a mistaken identity case. People mistake mistaken identity with flat out lying. Mistaken identity does not mean that she wasn't raped/sexually assaulted, she probably missed a detail or two; which obviously happens. Because no one has a 100 percent clear and concise memory of every detail of an assault.

New Discovered Albums (Months of October and November)

Moon Coven - Moon Coven (2016) 8/10

This album was discovered through a recommendation on a Facebook music group. This album is dark, and drone-esque. Which is fine by me, for background music; for when I am cleaning or creating art. Something to distract me. The difference between this album and Earth's The Bees Made Honey in The Lion's Skull is that there is vocals on this album and Earth's album does not.  Storm is a decent album opener to what is to come with this album; topping at almost 8 minutes long, it's a journey of rock that is experimental with metal and drone. This album only being 9 songs long, and the average length-span of the songs is around 5:30 which makes the album seem longer than a normal LP.

R.E.M - Fables of The Reconstruction (1985) 9/10

One of the best R.E.M. albums that I could sit through in one sitting. Fables artwork is hideous though, that's really the only complaint I really have. Well almost all of R.E.M.'s album artwork is horrendous, but that's besides the fact. This masterpiece from 1985, shows the maturity that the boys have grown into. Driver 8 has to be my all time favorite song from this band. And my favorite from this album too. If I had to rank top five songs, it would be Driver 8, Life and How To Live It, Old Man Kensey, Wendell Gee, Can't Get There From Here, and a tie breaker of Feeling Gravitys Pull. This will be my go to album aside from Out of Time and Automatic for The People.

Xymox - Twist of Shadows (1989) 7.5/10

Cool industrial vibes, I would say pre-Nine Inch Nails. Evelyn, the opening track has an industrial AND a alternative vibe. Something Joy Division/New Order or Tears For Fears would pull off. The second track goes right into a darker, heavier sound. Obsession. I like the vibes, I could listen to this album overall through and through; definitely not every day. But will definitely purchase/scrobble once in a while. I don't want to say it's bad, but it's something you can definitely find better in the genre. It's an aesthetic for me personally. With music ratings, I rarely give albums higher than an 8.5 unless it's flawless.

Ensími
Ensími - Kafbátamúsík (1998) 8/10

This is one of the first Icelandic bands/artists (outside of Björk) that I fully listened to at least some of their discography. This particular album reminds me of alt-rock bands of the late 1990's and early 2000's like Deftones, and Fuel; yet not quite at the same time. This has to be a solid 8 out of 10 because I like the genre this album is considered to be in. There's obviously some flaws. On the first track, there's this weird placement of saxophones which makes no sense to me in my opinion. Arpeggiator, gulur is a solid track with this industrial (yet again, not at the same time) aesthetic; that I can easily set myself into.

Corin Tucker Band - Kill My Blues (2012) 8/10

Corin Tucker has to be one of my favorite female artist as of late. Her work with Filthy Friends and Sleater-Kinney are top notch. She's one of the better known female fronted alternative singer/guitar player. This album is no different than her previous work. I give this album an 8 because sometimes her vocals can be taxing after a while; but the songs are really good though.
