Life Hack 1: Computer Screen Cleaner.

I am starting to use some useful life hacks from stuff that I already have in the house. Special formula for computer/tv screens can be pricy. So why not create something on your own. I found this hack from Google so it's not 100 percent my idea, but depending on how hard you use your computer you may have to clean your screen, and laptop base every few days.

  • Just a drop or two of vinegar (has to be white vinegar, the type that's good for cleaning)
  • A small jar, like a mason jar but the tiny variety (this is what I'm using to hold the formula) or spray bottle.
  • Water.

It's important to know that you put the water in first to measure how much you're going to need with vinegar. The larger the container; the more parts water, more parts vinegar. for the tiny mason jar I use is approximately 2/3 -3/4 water and then maybe a tablespoon of vinegar. Obviously the larger the container the more water and vinegar you'll need.

It's important to know if your storage room is a bit warm, to change the water/vinegar solution every few weeks because mold can form (from experience).

Using a gentle cleaning rag, lightly dip into the jar or spray onto the rag, and lightly go up and down on your screen; to go along the grain. Essentially to avoid smear marks.

You may be able to mix certain scents/essential oils to the mixture if you want to dodge a strong vinegar scent; which to me doesn't smell too bad upon cleaning the laptop.

Note: this is also good for dusting small areas/harder to reach/areas that shouldn't be used with dust spray; as an alternative to dust spray.
