Autism is Not a Bad Word.

Hello there. As a fellow person with Autism, it's hard to talk about it without people going down to a level of a baby. I hate that baby talk sometimes. My family had a sense of something wasn't right when I was younger. My grandparents decided to have me checked out. But it wasn't until I was 16 or in the eleventh grade that I was officially diagnosed with what it's known as Autism Spectrum Disorder. Prior to 2013 it was either low functioning or mild to high functioning Autism/Aspergers Syndrome. Which they did away with that for a few years now. Since Autism is a spectrum disorder, some people can possess the ability to cook and clean, but wasn't too academically bright; so to speak. With my case I had a good knack for Math, and other academics within reason. I wasn't a genius by any means, but I was able to be in GenEd classes because of my book smarts. Now socially I was awkward as hell. Like when I started trying to date people, it came across as very weird and very negative attachment problems. (Boundary issues, which I am trying to overcome through counseling)
Also another aspect is a dual diagnosis. Whether bipolar, OCD, impulse control disorders (which combines mood and OCD together) or whatever you have. It is bound to happen with people with Autism. My OCD: I can't have my room white room clean (think Adrian Monk of Monk) or extreme hoarder mess because I will flip out. There has to be a happy medium; yet there has to be some cleaning once in a while. When I eat a three course meal (meat, veggies, carbs) depending on the meat and vegetable I eat veggies first then meat then the carbs last (always carbs last) or vice versa. When I have Captain Crunch, I eat the crunch berries first (sometimes going by color order) then the yellow crunch cereal.
Everything has to have data organization too. My step intake, tumblr posts, and to the like. I count everything up for a specific time period (week, month, et cetera) and then average it out. It's a constant need to do data organization. This would make me good in data entry for a job; but alas jobs want 2-10 years of experience and a Bachelor's in Accounting. Which I only have my Associate's. I want to have a job that I would like, I want to drive (which I am currently working on getting used to being behind the wheel before setting off for my learner's permit). But with the job aspect, it's going to be hard because the last time I applied for a few jobs, it was like no one wanted to hire me, because I mentioned I may need some support or I have special needs to a degree. Or I looked different.

Food Review: Bai Antioxidant Infusion Costa Rica Clementine

*DISCLAIMER: this is just my opinion. no paid writing here.

I'm determined to try all the flavors that Bai has to offer. This one is no exception to the taste of Bai brand. I enjoy this one. It does taste like a clementine for real. People might think this has a nasty aftertaste, but what do you expect (net carbs are next to none after calculating net carbs) and low calorie intake if that's the health route you're going for. Personally, it tastes sweeter than most of the Bai juices. But still has that original bai flavoring to it. So way to go Bai, I should be a spokesperson for Bai at this point.

Jessica's Bullet Journal Essentials.

I am planning on starting a bullet journal to keep track of certain tasks of my daily life, and is a good way to keep my artsy side too. Something to keep me a little busy. Maybe at the end of each entry, I'll blog the entry to show how I felt or what was going on with my life. Anything to do that is constructive.

  • A journal is a must. I prefer dotted paper.
  • Washi Tape
  • Any decent pen to do calligraphy/that won't saturate the paper too much.
  • stencils
  • colored pencils
  • markers
  • Dedication
  • a ruler/compass
  • CREATIVITY

Food Review: Bai Antioxidant Infusion Kula Watermelon

*DISCLAIMER: this is just my opinion. no paid writing here.

I am addicted to the Bai Brand. This one in particular is sweeter than the other varieties of Bai products. The Kula Watermelon excites my tastebuds; almost as if I am taking myself to Flavortown (as per Guy Fieri) of healthy beverages. You know the deal with Bai: 5 calories per serving, which would appeal to people who are trying to cut unnecessary calories from their daily diet. I for one am one of these people. The Kula Watermelon is sweet, yet not as sugar-filled like a carbonated drink (soda) I think as an alternative it's good; same with those ICE brand flavored water or La Croix waters.

Food Review: Bai Antioxidant Infusion Brasilia Blueberry

*DISCLAIMER: this is just my opinion. no paid writing here.

When I discovered Bai, this one was one of the first varieties that I have tried from this brand. I enjoy this flavor; because it's not too sweet, and the aftertaste isn't too weird that it would put me off. There is definitely an aftertaste in my opinion. But the blueberry flavor is strong. And again the sweetness you are tasting is the blueberry; and not additional sweeteners. What I like about Bai brand it's low calorie, which is fine by me, because I monitor calories (1,500-1,600 calories tops in a day; non-cheat day). And it's perfect mid afternoon beverage for when I am thirsty.

Food Review: Hostess Twinkies Ice Cream

*DISCLAIMER: this is just my opinion. no paid writing here.
It's delicious for some odd reason. I enjoy the fact that there's little Twinkies pieces in them to give the ice cream a distinct taste. It's pretty sweet though so you may not want to eat the whole container at once (if it's the little pint size containers). It's not the healthiest whatsoever. But definitely great comfort food. Plus it was semi-cheap at the Dollar General I go to, so why not try something different? With ice cream it's difficult for me to process the taste sometimes because it does get too cold for my teeth (sensory issues, due to ASD) but it's something I personally will get again if it's on sale or cheap.
